Rona Michele & Chris Salter - Performing on 'dueling powerbooks',
Tyranny of Two will be featured between sets throughout the day.
They improvise 'Weather Patterns' generated by combinations of
composed and found samples which are 'performed' as systems of
rhythm and ambience.

Moe!kestra! - 40 piece mixed anarchistic avant chaos orchestra
In a hidden cleft among cliffs a gazelle drinks water
For voice and viola, this piece includes six poems from various
poetic styles, sung in their original languages: Yiddish, Spanish,
Arabic, Russian, Italian and Hebrew.
A slam-bang, quote-laden, high-fiber duet for bass and MIDI mallet
instrument from Jay Cloidt, whom the SF Chronicle called "The
Spike Jones of the Bay Area New Music Scene"

avant-garde modernist musical styles with aggressive techno rhythms.
Miya Masaoka, Donald Swearingen, Pamela Z - Using instruments
that combine sensor technology with MIDI equipment, the members
of sensorChip generate and manipulate sound with physical gestures.
These sensor devices used in combination with both electronic
and acoustic instruments in the hands of powerful artists result
in a visually compelling and sonically rich performance.

Nik Phelps and the Sprocket Ensemble - Nik Phelps and the Sprocket
Ensemble will accompany several animated shorts with live music.
Included will be an animated work created especially for OPUS415
No. 4 by animator Shason Shiga.
Tuolumne Brass with Garth Powell - A rhythmically energetic, pop-inspired
piece for brass quintet and drum-set, this piece mixes minimalism
with a pop style most associated with old 70's detective shows
-- a meeting of minds between Steve Reich and Mannix.
I Always Wanted You to Admire My Fasting
Prosthetic - ...for four voices, percussion, violin, and bass
Libby Van Cleve, English Horn - A rich and evocative romance for
electronically processed English horn and tape.
For piano, flute, and cello, the work gets its title from the
way the opening material enshrouds, overlays, and even masks the
other two main musical statements.

with Sarah Cahill, pianist Stone performs compositions composed
and performed entirely on a Macintosh Powerbook computer. In addition,
pianist Sarah Cahill will perform Stone's Sa Rit Gol a piece for
live pianist and computer-driven disclavier piano.

Instant Music Ensemble -A spatial ensemble work which will combine
the abilities of many San Francisco performers of varying and
contrasted styles and viewpoints into a single continuity of "instant
music". Composed especially for OPUS415.
